3 Spare Parts That Every Dingo Mini-Excavator Owner Should Have

Dingo mini-excavators are an increasingly popular sight in rural, agricultural, and construction settings across the United States. Designed and manufactured in Australia, as the name would suggest, these machines may be small but they certainly make up for that in durability and performance.

If you're a landscape or construction contractor who is considering buying or has just bought a Dingo mini-excavator, then you'll need to ensure that you've got the right spare parts to go with it. Waiting to have parts shipped to you can mean serious delays in your work project, so having them on hand is good business practice.

Here are three spare parts for Dingo mini-excavator that every Dingo owner should have.

1. Air filters

Due to the dirty and dusty nature of construction and landscape work, your machine will be exposed to a lot of debris as it does its job. To prevent the engine from becoming clogged up, air filters are used to protect it from the bulk of the debris.

Ideally, you shouldn't run your Dingo for more than a month without changing the air filter. Having a few spare air filters close in hand means you can replace the old one as necessary and won't risk damaging your engine between routine services.

2. Sand tires

Building sites and gardens can be tough terrains, but the standard tires on Dingo mini-excavators are tough enough to handle most surfaces and obstacles. However, the heavy duty tires may not be as ideal when you're working on sandy or otherwise loose ground.

Having a set of sand tires for use in slippery terrain is a great solution. Sand tires have a shallower thread than regular tires and they're also wider and higher to increase surface contact and reduce sinking and slippage.

3. Water fill parts for tires

The tires on a Dingo mini-excavator are filled with water prior to use. This makes the whole machine heavier and more stable. To fill them you'll need an adaptor coupling and a nipple fitting. These parts fit together and allow you to fill the tires with water using a standard hose pipe.

Neglecting to fill your machines tires with water can be a safety hazard and can also limit its ability to move heavy loads. Having a spare set or two of water fill parts means you'll never have to run this risk.

Having these spare parts on hand may save you valuable time and money when you're in the middle of an important project. Make sure you also schedule a regular service to keep your mini-excavator in top condition.

About Me
Gardening Basics: Choosing the Best Fertilizer

If you walk into a home and garden shop asking for a bag of fertilizer, be prepared to answer a couple of questions. That's because not all types of fertilizers are equal. I learned that lesson the very first year I planted my backyard garden. My goal was to grow vegetables, so I didn't need fertilizers that were intended to help flowers grow. I did need a product that would add certain nutrients to the soil that were not currently present. Fortunately, the owner of the local feed shop asked me a few questions and was able to direct me to a product that was right for my needs. Before you begin plowing up land for planting, let me tell you more about choosing the right fertilizer. Follow the advice and get ready to harvest enough vegetables to feed your family and still give some away to friends.
